5000kms and no racing!

GlenCoe, Scotland... the first journey out in the new camper, it was great ! The British Downhill Series race was cancelled - but we had a few stops on the way!!

First we headed to Normandie on Friday to the PGL centre where my older brother Chevy is working as an activity instructor. We spent a day there, great weather and is was pretty cool to see Chev. We arrived really late after 'Doris' our dodgy satnav had taken us all over the place! In the morning though, we got to do rock climbing, trapeze and absailing, it was cool trying out something new - especially with Chev showing us the ropes!

We then had to embark on the 5 hour drive up to Calais to get our ferry or 'fairy' as Kaos calls it!

Being originally from south London, or first stop was there to see friends and family... so we spent a relaxing Sunday there.

Monday morning and we were back on the road, this time to visit a stud farm in Glouster. We meet up with Sharon, Max, Phil plus other friends and family. We stayed at the farm and got to see how they 'produce' some of the best show jumping horses in the world!! We actually got to see them take a donor from the HUGE - Raging Bull Vangelis (named after Phil's rugby nickname)... http://www.meadowstud.com/stallions.html on this page you will also see another horse named after my little brother Kaos - it is spelt Chaos because of the horse bloodline - all very interesting!!! They put Chaos in a field all by himself because he is too crazy- remind you of anyone?

Watching them take the donor was disgusting to see! haha!! Although this little fella was born the night we were there - maybe it will be named after me!!

I really want to say a big thank you to everyone their as they really do help me follow my dream - thank you.

Back on the road Tuesday morning to my Uncles the other side of England but, we got to stop off at Alton Towers on the way!!! Now that was good fun! We only spent a few hours there, but went on a few of the rides - they should last longer but luckily we did not have to wait too long! Then back in the camper on on to my Uncle's for another overnight stay!

Wednesday morning morning and we were back on the road - this time it was all about Kaos. He bought along his MX bike and was lucky enough to have an afternoon riding at Leisure Lakes with friends Matt, Cord and Nige! He looked like he was loving it! Seeing them all riding made me want to pull out the CR85 so bad - but there was only enough room for one bike in the camper!!!! I had a quick few laps on Kaos', as Nige said i looked like a giant on it! A great afternoon riding then off to Matt's for an evening meal - dad should not drink as he ended up teaching everyone to backflip on the trampoline - I think he even got Pager over once!!

Thursday morning and back on the road - sponsors day as we first headed to the Hope factory - this place was amazing! I just thought everything arrived in bags not even thinking how it got to me!! Hope pretty much make it ALL, even the little tiny parts. Got this great shot of a brake disc being made...

From Hope we traveled across the country to Fox Head Europe's head office - wow!! Visiting these guys was definitely worth it, i loved it.

Back on the road - this time destination GlenCoe!!!

It was really windy when weI walked the track Friday, it was very rocky and fast, but i hadn't ridden it yet!
Saturday was training. The wind was awful, we got stuck up the top for an hour waiting for the weather t calm down. Once my first run was finished it was lunch time, then i headed up again after that. The wind was getting stronger, and it was raining even more. I got stopped at the top again, but this time they shut the lift, and we were told to take it slowly on our run down. 2 runs in the day, great…

That night in the camper was pretty hard, Kaos was sick!
I got up first thing Sunday morning, trying to get as much runs in as i can. I crashed in my first one, but second one was all good. The bike and everything was working perfectly, Cord was there to keep it running - thank you Cord! Thanks to Fox, i had a clean kit every run! Hardly got cold!

When i got down and was about to have lunch, it was announced that it was cancelled. It's a bit of a shame because i would of liked to pull out a good result... I had some great lines worked out that other girls were not doing - but that wind was making the course quite scary and very hard to ride in.

We packed up and headed home... Scotland to Dover, Calais to Morzine... great having the camper, I slept most of the way!!

This trip was an awesome experience, just a real shame i didn't get to race! I want to thank my parents for putting so much effort in to everything, my sponsors and all the special people that make our journey easier.
